Our Story
“HeadRight Wellness began as a vision in 2015, born out of a deep-seated passion to address the often overlooked mental health needs within diverse communities. Our founder, Khali Younger BSN, MHA, witnessed firsthand the critical gaps in mental health services during his years in the healthcare sector. Fueled by personal experiences and stories from within the community, Khali established HeadRight Wellness with the goal of creating a more inclusive, understanding, and effective approach to mental health care.
From our humble beginnings in a small community center, we focused on pioneering programs that combined traditional therapeutic methods with innovative community-driven practices. Our first major milestone came in 2021, when we launched the Thrive Program, which has since become a cornerstone of our service offerings. The program’s success in integrating psychological education with practical life skills training marked a significant turning point, allowing us to expand our reach and deepen our impact.
As word of our work spread, HeadRight Wellness grew rapidly. By 2023, we had partnered with over twenty local organizations to broaden our program offerings, extending services to include workshops for stress management, digital therapy sessions, and community mental health fairs, each tailored to meet the unique needs of the populations we served.”
